Around Saijo and Ehime University

Today we visited the Ehime University and had an opportunity to talk with the Board of Education, the Mayor and students that want to be teachers. The fist picture is Elaine and I acting like the mannican in the mall. We thought it was very funny and strange because the Japanese seem to have this very ridged way of life which is set with many traditions, but then you run into things like this in the mall, porno magazines in the "7-11" and stores with strange translations like the "Hard Off." Apparently this store is where you can get cash when you are hard off for cash. Kind of funny. The second picture is me and one of the students. What was really funny is that she went to San Diego for 3 weeks as a student exchange, took classes at UCSD and lived on Balboa just near where Clint and I had an apartment! Next is me in the B.O.E. meeting room waiting to talk to the Board and the Mayor. The next picture is something they fed us for lunch today. Yummy!!! NOT.
