Playing with Bear Cubs!

This year Clark and I have participated in MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) which has introduced me to many wonderful mommies!  Today as a MOPS group we got to go to Bear Country and pet the Bear Cubs!  

Definitely a wonderful experience! 

I thought they were only going to hold them.

But they let them down and run around.  Even at 4 months, they are still very clumsy on their big feet! 

I was in heaven!

Can you tell?

I had walked over to one of the handlers and asked if I could hold one. And then I turned around and the other handler had Clint checking out one of the cubs!  

And since Clint got to hold a cub I just HAD to also! Pure delight!  Definitely the highlight to our short time here in South Dakota!

Clark wasn't too sure about them. 

Did I mention the claws?  They had warned us that if the bears come up to us, they probably try to climb up your legs and to just go sit on the bench.  So every time one came near Clark he ran to the benches.

Do you see Clark in the top left side of the picture?  This cub was following him until the handler cut him off.

It's amazing how hard it is to take a selfie with a cub while trying to keep him from falling off  the bench!
