Mato Festival

This little festival was in our "ville" area on Saturday for a short 2 hours, but I am so happy we went!  Clark had a ton of fun and I needed to get out of the house and had fun watching him.

Clark shaking the rice.

His friends James and Sam.

James decided to share his rice!

Clark sharing with Sam.

Clark learning how to shake the impurities out of the rice.

Older way of getting the rice off the husks.

Yes it takes 3 Korean men to teach Clark how to de-rice the husk.

Love that Clark was getting so much attention from the locals!

Clark wowed the Korean people with his loud music playing!

Video of Clark playing musical instruments with locals.

Raking the rice husks.

Getting some help.

Note the tongue.

Better picture of the de-ricer.

Clark got to make a clay pot. I haven't even done this yet!

Here is a video of him making his clay bowl:

Necklace making.

Finished product.

Back to harvesting rice!

Scooping the rice!

Beating sticks.

He wanted so badly to do this by himself, but the stick was so large it was hard for him.
