Video of Clark With Hiccups

Here is a video of Clark hanging out holding his head up. He'd been doing it for a while before Clint took the video, so he was a little tired by this time, but still very adorable!

Look at Clark holding his head up!

Clark Hanging with Mom

My dad told me I didn't have enough pictures of Clark awake, so I took a bunch last night. Don't worry, Reiner isn't going to eat Clark, he really likes Clark and he's just coming over to say hi. Reiner is a little difficult to photograph. :)

Winter Storm

So on Tuesday we had a giant storm come through. Sure most of you were affected by it in some way or another. It actually snowed 7 inches here and as much as 12 inches in other parts of Manhattan. Figures that last year I was forced to drive to work in HORRIBLE conditions, but now that I'm on maternity leave, we had 2 snow days. One storm last year I actually had to pull over 3 or 4 times on the way to work to scrape the ice off my windshield wipers so it could clear a little window to see the road.
So although I haven't enjoyed being outside so much because I've been inside the warm house with Clark, it's been nice and here are some fun pictures.

Icicle from our roof. (Click the picture to enlarge it and really see the icicle)

Reiner in the snow. See how high the snow is on his legs. It's really funny watching him try to go to the bathroom outside. The snow just about touches his little bum. :)

Ice on the inside of our storm door. Tells you how much cold air actually comes into the house. Must be why our gas bill is so high!

Trees on the side of our house.

Typical Day at the Wayland House

So when you take your baby home from the hospital, they send you home with one of these pacifiers that are more inovative I guess if you want to call it that. They are suppose to keep the babies from having nipple confusion. So we registered for them, and have 5 of them floating around the house. That's pretty much all they are good for because he doesn't like them. He spits them out and they never seem to sooth him. So last week I went to Target and bought the more traditional type of pacifier. He loves them. Although the picture below has the pacifier out of his mouth, he actually will go to sleep with them and it helps sooth him back to sleep when he wakes up in the middle of the night. Very important for the sleep deprived mommy and daddy!

My son the traditionalist.

Reiner sleeping on the couch. One day I wanted to take a nap, so I told him he had to share the couch with me. I got growled at!

Cats getting in time on the bed because they are locked out at night so we don't have to worry about them and Clark in the bassinet.

So now I ask myself, why am I awake? Well, it's lunch time and I'm hungry. I do take naps, but I find house hold chorse to be a distraction. Hence why I am blogging and eating and not sleeping. I did take a 2 hour nap yesterday because Clark didn't go to sleep until 3 that morning and I've been sick. I stayed awake with him until 1 then Clint took over so I could sleep. It was wonderful to sleep from 1 until 5:30! All this lack of sleep isn't helping me get over thsi stupid cold. I finally went to the doctor after a week and a half of suffering and she said I have a sinus infection and a pounding head ache!

Well I'm off to maybe take a nap like everyone else in the house!
