Our first family outing

This weekend Clint and I bought a new stroller. We got a Baby Jogger City Mini. We wanted a stroller that was petite but capable of doing some off roading. The city mini is simple and folds up the smallest of all strollers we have looked at. There was one problem in that we picked a Chicco car seat and the car seat adapter for the stroller wasn't compatible, or so they say! We went to the nice baby store in town and made them open the car seat adapter box (sold in a separate box) so that we could test the car seat with it. It worked, so we got to get the stroller we wanted.

Since today was a nice day and not too cold outside, we took Clark on our usual dog walk route which is about 2 miles from our house, behind the vet school, over by the cow pens and back. We like this route because once we get behind the vet school we can take the dog off his leash which he LOVES. The new stroller handled the terrain really well despite the start we had. Clint had the stroller and scared himself as he rolled it off the stairs out of our house. I don't think he was expecting the stairs to be so close. Then while in the drive way, he let go of the stroller to zip up his jacket and the stroller went rolling into the lawn. At least it was the lawn and not the street.

I included pictures of Clark in one of his cold weather outfits. The suite says 0-3 months. He's not even close to filling it in. The arms and legs of the outfit and a good 6 inches or so past his little arms and legs. I still think he looks pretty cute in it and we didn't have to worry about him being too cold.

We had a great time, I enjoyed getting out in the fresh air, and the dog really loved it. I was pretty exhausted once we got back though. We also went back to church for the first time with Clark. Many people commented on how tired we looked. I think the walk was partly to blame. :) I didn't realize how much I missed church and I realized how many new people we have gotten in our ward. Seems like it's a completely different ward then before Clark was born!

Clark handled going to church great. He even got to embarrass his parents! While in our Gospel Essentials class, a class of about 15 people, Clark started to fuss. So I took him out of the car seat, in hopes that he would sleep a little better. Instead he totally disrupted the class by passing gas rather loudly then screaming. Pretty embarrassing!
