So after a very long day and more time on a bus then I would have liked we did our Mt. Fuji trip. I had a blast beside being on a bus for probably 10 hours. These pictures I am showing you are at the top of the hill over looking Lake Hakone and looking toward Mt. Fuji. Unfortunately we couldn't see Mt. Fuji because it had clouded over by the time we got there, but the pictures are still amazing. There is a picture of Josh and I with the lake in the back ground. Then a picture of some of the JFMFers that went on the trip.
The whole day was rushed and we didn't get very long on the mountain, in fact only 25 minutes. It was just rush rush rush. While we were up here taking pictures, we asked our tour guide if there was enough time to walk to the other small hill and take pictures of the shrine. She said no. Well by this time in the trip, we had had enough of these rushed escapades and a few of us made a mad dash up the hill. Running as fast as we could so that we could take a few quick pictures. What you can't see in the picture is that I was so out of breath and sweating bullets. It was great!
I did enjoy the trip, but when I come back it will be on my own time not on the tour guides limits.
The last picture is some of us on the bullet train. To my left is a lady from Montana named Laura who has a horse farm and races quarter horses along with being a teacher. Then to the other side of me is another Jen who is in Saijo with me. She is very friendly and I think she looks just like Mom's friend Peggy. She teaches junior high I think in North Dakota. Then at the bottom from left to right is Bryan, Josh and Tiffany. Bryan teaches Science at a high school in North Carolina, Josh teachers ESL (English as a Second Language) for elementary in Omaha, Nebraska and Tiffany teaches High School English in Kansas City, KS. They are cool people and fun to be around.

Yo, Jen: Looks like you're having a great time, but 10 hours in a bus for 25 min. looking for a mountain? That sounds completely crazy. I'm surprised to see it so chilly there. For some reason, I expect Japan to be pretty warm--though I guess you were at high altitude.
Keep on rockin'
Scotty
