Korean Folk Village - The Lone Travelor is Back with a few Cameos from Clark!

Today we visited the Korean Folk Village in Suwon with some friends. Clint, Clark and I had gone up once before as part of the Pyeongtaek City Tour  and I loved it and have been wanting to go back every since!

Who doesn't love dirt, history and beautiful things to look at!

Bonus, sleeping Korean dude!

And as usual, I end up taking pictures of myself because 1, I don't want to bother people to take a picture of me, and 2, Clark will only take so many pictures with me!

Can you tell he is trying to wiggle out of my grip!

And for some reason me taking pictures of him is ok.

Korean Wedding Ceremony

Boys making silly faces!

In case you wanted to know!

I have no idea what they were doing here...

...aside from hitting what looked like rice with a giant sledge hammer!

One of my favorites!

The boys wanted to sit at their own little table!

Being boys. Hitting rocks on the dirt and showing off his chest.

He didn't want to turn around!

Lone traveler!

All three boys LOVED this!  The water would fill up the trough and then it would dump out!

Finally someone who doesn't object to taking pictures with me!

Fixing the roof, or about to moon you!

Not really sure what this means, but looks like they are either teaching their children to make these animal noises, or yell at them or attempt to turn into them? You guess!

Someone thought an accurate depiction of the bugs in Korea was needed for this village display!

Watch out lady, there is a giant Stang Beetle coming to EAT YOU UP!

Giant Grasshopper!

I finally told him he could have a treat if he took pictures nicely with me!

You can see how well that turned out!  Lone traveler is back!

Cheese

Now look down.

Cheese again!

Two creatures to get to take a picture with me!

Thought I would change things up, and take a picture with this cute guy!

Investigating what is under the roof!

I think this was one of my favorite things of the day!  The Koreans film Korean Dramas at this folk village.  This thing that looks like a giant antenna is actually a rain maker!  I ALWAYS have wondered how they make it rain in the movies!  Now I know their secret!!!!  :)

What is a movie set without a playboy!

Trying to push this wheel.

Oh and to add to my "love" of Korea I have discovered that I am allergic to these beautiful trees!  I have had a headache since I got back, 3 weeks ago, and I am fairly certain it is from these Cherry Blossoms!  I totally came home a congested mess today too!

Too bad they make such a great back drop to photos!

With enough weight, this is a large mortar and pestle! The kids weren't strong enough.

Advertisement for the drama that was being filmed!
