Some cute pictures of my baby. :)
This is actually what he looked like before I got the other two pictures. We've been seeing lots of tears lately.
On Saturday Clint, my dad, Clark and I went to Fallbrook to visit our friends that we know from riding the quads with them at the desert.
They have a Polaris Rhino so Clark, Clint and I went to sit in it. Clint was nervous about the actual riding in it with Clark, so we just playing in the driveway.
Have any of you noticed the red marks on Clint's arm or the brace around his wrist?
Well that's how our holiday weekend started. Clint had Friday and Monday off from work. He took his brother out riding their mountain bikes. I told him to be careful, like I always do. His exact words were, "It's Harding, it's easy. I'll be fine!"
Well about 3 hours later he came into the house bloody, brused and in need of x-rays and probably some stitches!
He managed to fall off his bike after going over a jump, and skid down the trail for about 20 feet. His entire left side has scraped, cut, gouged, bruised and road rashed. When he walked into the house he said with a big smile on his face, "I fell off my bike and I think I broke my wrist and some ribs. I need to go to the ER and get them checked out."
We spend a short amount of time in the ER for them to tell him that he didn't break anything, although, 3 days later he's feeling pulvarized and is pretty sure the ribs are busted. The road rash on his arm, which you can't really see in the pictures, is giving him a hard time with healing. He also is very uncomfortable due to his ribs, but he will heal.
The day kept getting more interesting because we put an offer on a house that day and our real-estate agent almost had to come to the hospital to have us sign the paper work. We ended up going to his office and are still waiting to hear back from the owners. :(
Monday, today, we went to my dad's boss's house for a BBQ. Delicious food and some fun time in the grass at his house.
I love how the expression on their faces is identical. :)
Lastly we have some bath pictures. I took these the other night to write about Clark's bathing experiences. What you see here is a happy child. A child who loves the bath now, after lots of tears and struggles with giving this child a bath.
When Clark was brand new (lovely, I'm making him sound like a new car or something.) Clint and I gave him his first bath at home. He SCREAMED the entire time. He turned bright red and Clint and I were just about in tears ourselves. It took us 15 minutes to calm him down and Clint and I thought we would never give him a bath again! It only took about 7 or 8 months before he liked the bath, but now he loves them because he normally doesn't fall over too much and Clint and I are working really hard to make him like the water. :)
I'll keep you posted on the house hunt, and on Clint's healing. He's bummed that he can't do more exercise then walk, but in a couple of weeks I'm sure he'll be back on the bike. That is after we replace the helmet and clothes he tore up in the crash.
