On Monday March 24th I received a letter of acceptance from the Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund Scholarship awarding me with a 3 week trip to Japan in October. I am very excited. The trip to Japan is to learn about the Japanese culture and education system. We will go to different communities in Japan and talk to the teachers, students and the parents. We will also have the opportunity to stay in the home of a Japanese family to further gain an understanding of the culture.

Jen,I'm so excited for you! What a unique opportunity your trip will be. When is it that you go? By the way, I have missed you both. I was thinking about Clint's 2 tons of grilled hot wings 2 summers ago. Geez, time really has gotten away from me. Also, I found out that I will be defending my thesis over the phone this month, so we won't be coming out to Kansas, as previously planned. So, we'll have to keep missing you for a while longer.
