Happy Halloween

Clark wanted to be a spider for Halloween.

Super easy to make. Black sweat pants, black shirt, 2 pair of dad's socks and something to stuff them with, pack of glow in the dark spiders, face paint, hot glue gun! He wanted to have flames above his eyebrows, and lava flowing down his cheeks. I need to work on my face painting skills, but after I was done, he went upstairs and said with a lot of enthusiasm, "Mom, it looks awesome!"  I also put glow int he dark face paint on, which when it was really dark, it glowed and looked creepy!

See the spider on the right side? It jumped up and hissed right as Clark got to the door. He screamed, and ran all the way back to me where he hung on to me for dear life!

Clark running back to me.

The kid scored. We were only out for an hour and he just about filled his bucket!

Camping at Pactola and Hiking at Horse-thief Trail

We are enjoying our home made awning.

The benefit of camping in October is that there was only one other camper!

Hmm, I see Clark make this face a lot. Guess now I know where he gets it from.

Fishing!

The parks and rec people had drained the lake a ton. On the plus side, Clark got to practice his casting skills.

He did great, but got mad I was taking his picture!

Got both the guys casting!

The reservoir from the road.  We were going to stay 2 nights, but the heater in the trailer really wasn't keeping us warm and we were having some water leaking issues. So we came home on Sat. Clint quickly fixed the trailer!

Cool tree!

Since we came home from camping early we went hiking up at Horse Thief Trail. It was a nice thing to do on my birthday!

Today, Clark enjoyed having his picture taken.

Clint was on the hunt for a good walking stick.

Cool moss all over the rocks.

Clint hikes to get exercise, Clark hikes because it's something fun to do with mom and dad, and I hike so I can take pictures of our surroundings. But I don't want it to be a post card, so I try to add people. Usually the boys aren't as willing to be in the pictures I want to take, so I end up taking many "selfies."

He got impaled! Not really, there is a pretty yellow butterfly on Clint's arm.

Fungi

Bark that the inside had disintegrated.

If he didn't have a giant head, he would have put it on his head as a mask!

The boys and their walking sticks.

Heart carved into the tree.

Clark took the picture and Clint and I were trying not to laugh! Kissing under the lovers tree!

One the way home, we took a different route, and it was really cool. Super windy, awesome bridges and got to a point that looked out for miles. I was driving otherwise we would have had pictures of the cool bridges too!

Clint wanted to fish so Clark and I messed around. I should get the award for being the best wife, letting my hubby fish on my b-day!

Clint is either changing flies or untangling line. Both happen frequently. :)

This is the tree outside my kitchen window. I love how you can see the stages of the color change!

Yes I took a ton of pictures of the same tree, but I thought it was really cool!
