Clint's 30th Birthday and Recieved Awards

Last weekend was a big weekend for us.
On Friday Clint had an awards ceremony for the Vet School. Many of the seniors receive awards for the great work and slavery they are put through their last year of vet school.
Clint received the Dr. Wayne and Druecillia Burch Memorial Award for demonstrated proficiency in food animal medicine and surgery and the Dr. and Mrs. Gordon C. Howell Memorial Award for demonstrated proficiency in practice management and case records.
These awards gave him money that will go toward buying his graduation present, which is a new mountain bike.

Then on Saturday we celebrated Clint's 30th birthday. He won't officially be 30 until the 27th. Our friend Jeremy has the same birthday as Clint. So Jeanette and I decided to throw them a birthday party together. Jeanette was due to have a baby this Saturday the 24th so we decided to have the party on the 17th. Well baby Wyatt had different plans and arrived Friday morning! Hurray! So unfortunately, Jeanette didn't get to join us, but we did manage to have to move the party around to 3 different locations, finally settling at our house because people had reserved the park shelters. Oh well, we had a blast.

Clint at the award ceremony. The beads around his neck were for one of the awards he won.

Clark hanging at the awards ceremony. He did AWESOMELY! He just enjoyed the night and didn't fuss or anything. Some other people had brought their children and there was some baby crying, but not from Clark. He's a trooper. Then on Saturday he just went from person to person without complaint! What a great kid.

Scissors

Reasons why Mommy dresses baby and not Daddy:

Did you notice that the legs of the pants have been CUT OFF? A few nights ago I had dressed Clark and he either spit up on his p.j.s or was too warm so I sent him in with Clint to get a new pair. Clint comes out with two different pairs and I told him to try the yellow ones because I was pretty sure the other ones won't work. After almost 10 minutes I hear, "Hey Jen, can you bring me the pair of scissors with the black handles?" So thinking there's a lose string or something, I take him the scissors to him. Before I realize what he is doing, he's cut the foot off of the p.j.s so that Clark will "fit" into them.

The truth is that Clint really hates dressing Clark if he puts something on that doesn't fit. It always seems to happen to him more then me and Clint get's frustrated with it. When I told him he's not allowed to do it any more and that he's lucky those one's were not my favorites, he said, "Why, they don't fit him any more." My response: "For the next baby!" Clint, "Oh." Don't think I'll blindly be handing over a pair of scissors next time either!

Getting to eat new food.

So blogspot and our laptop have been having some issues with uploading pictures. I would be in the process of uploading and right as it looked like it would work it would say that the session timed out or something like that. I thought it was blogspot having issues but after a few weeks of the same issue, I assume that it's some problem with Clint's computer. So I have gotten things "fixed" (using another computer) and here are pictures and video of Clark eating food.

Clark did really well with eating the oatmeal and so last week on April 4th we started to give Clark Sweet Potatoes. He LOVES them. Here are some pictures and a video to prove it! I am also including some other adorable pictures of him and Clint.

Clark and Daddy Time

Right before I took the picture, Clark was looking over at Clint and it was adorable, but he wouldn't stop looking at me once he saw me. Oh well.

Going for a Walk

Going for a walk and trying to stay healthy can be some what of a challenge here during the winter. Not only do Clint and I have to bundle up, but we REALLY have to bundle up Clark since he is just sitting in the stroller.

Clark also likes to sit in the rocking chair like a big boy. (Don't worry, we don't leave him there!) So here are some pictures of him getting to sit in the rocking chair and getting bundled up for our walk.
